Course Description

This intensive two-week course is the first of its kind. You will study the marketing strategies and methods Taiwanese firms have used to take leading industry roles. Taiwanese firms, despite having low brand recognition amongst global consumers, have become leaders and key players in their respective industries and global value chains. This year, the course focuses on four industries:

    • information technology (IT)
    • sporting goods
    • health products
    • retail

Classes are structured around group discussions, immersive assignments, and thought-provoking case studies and lectures that bring theoretical marketing concepts to life. A key feature of this course is a series of company visits, providing you with firsthand experiences of the challenges and opportunities presented in real-world international marketing scenarios that transcend those found in conventional textbooks.

Uncover the intricacies influencing international marketing for Taiwanese firms. Analyze and explore how factors from global and domestic economic conditions to social and cultural characteristics, to the complex interplay of domestic and geo-political and legal environments have influenced Taiwanese firms’ pathways to success.

This course will expand your global perspective, sharpen your skills in identifying and evaluating international consumer and industrial marketing opportunities, empowering you to create robust strategies in the global marketplace.

Seize this unique opportunity to shape your future in the world of international marketing. Spaces are limited, so apply as soon as possible. We warmly invite you to join us at NTUB to explore the interplay of marketing theory and practice from a uniquely Taiwanese perspective.
